Description
Quick and flavorful steak bites cooked in garlic butter, perfect for a fast weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds steak cut into bites
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic or more to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley optional for serving
Instructions
- Remove steak from the fridge 30 minutes before cooking. Unwrap, cut into cubes, and season generously with salt and pepper. Let the steak sit on the counter for 30 minutes.
- Heat a large skillet over high heat. Add the oil, then sear the steak bites for about 2 minutes per side until a browned crust forms. Work in batches and do not overcrowd the pan. Set the seared steak bites aside on a plate and cover loosely with foil.
- Reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and garlic to the empty skillet. Heat for about 2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant. Remove the skillet from the heat.
- Add the steak bites back to the skillet with the garlic butter. Toss to coat them completely. Serve immediately, adding chopped parsley if you wish.
Notes
- Cut the steak into uniform cubes, about 1 inch in size, for even cooking.
- Do not skip letting the steak rest at room temperature before cooking; this helps achieve a better sear.
