Crispy Air Fryer BBQ Chicken Thighs

Juicy chicken thighs with crispy skin and smoky BBQ flavor, ready in 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 6 bone-in chicken thighs with skin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder or cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat and pat chicken dry with paper towels. Score the skin side.
  2. Mix onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and red chili powder in a small bowl. Coat chicken with the spice mix.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 400°F. Place chicken skin-side down and cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Brush chicken with barbecue sauce and cook for 5 more minutes.
  5. Flip chicken skin-side up, brush with more sauce, and cook for 3-5 minutes until crispy and internal temperature reaches 170°F.
  6. Serve warm with extra sauce if desired.
