Apple Pie Hot Toddy

Description

A warm, spiced beverage with apple cider, honey, and whiskey, perfect for cold evenings.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup apple cider
  • 2 tablespoons honey, more or less to taste
  • ½ lemon, sliced
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 8 whole cloves
  • 2 star anise
  • 3 ounces apple pie moonshine (or whiskey, bourbon, or scotch)
  • apple slices, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, add the apple cider, honey, lemon slices, cinnamon stick, star anise, and cloves.
  2. Bring to a simmer and cook gently for about 5 minutes to let the flavors combine.
  3. Remove from the heat and stir in the moonshine.
  4. Pour into glass mugs and garnish with apple slices.
