- 1½ cups mashed ripe bananas (about 3 medium)
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- ½ cup plain yogurt
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup chopped hazelnuts or walnuts (optional)
- ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and lightly flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- Mash the bananas in a large bowl until mostly smooth, leaving a few small lumps.
- Add the yogurt, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla to the mashed bananas. Mix until smooth.
- Stir in the sugar until the mixture looks glossy.
- Sprinkle the flour, baking soda, and salt over the batter. Mix gently just until you no longer see dry flour. Do not overmix.
- Fold in any optional add-ins like nuts or chocolate chips gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 60–70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the loaf cool in the pan for 30 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

- Yogurt helps keep the bread moist and adds a subtle flavor complexity.
- For best results, use very ripe bananas.
- Stop mixing as soon as the flour disappears to keep the bread tender.
