5-Minute Chocolate Mug Cake

Description

Make a rich, single-serving chocolate cake in your microwave in under five minutes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 tbsp cake flour
  • 4 tbsp white sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 medium or small egg
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 3 tbsp sunflower oil
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sugar, and cocoa powder in a large cup. Add the egg and mix into the flour mixture.
  2. Pour in the milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  3. Add chocolate chips, mixing some into the middle/bottom of the cup, and leaving some near the top.
  4. Place the cup in the center of your microwave. Cook on high for 1 ½ – 2 minutes, depending on your microwave power. Enjoy immediately.

  • Use dark chocolate chips for a deeper cocoa flavor.
