- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 4 ounces Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs Cheese
- kosher salt to taste
- fresh pepper to taste
- fresh Italian parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook fettuccine according to package directions and drain. Reserve about one cup of pasta water.
- Melt butter in a large saucepan. Cook minced garlic for one to two minutes until fragrant, avoiding browning.
- Add heavy cream and bring the sauce to a simmer for 5 to 7 minutes until it thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.
- Turn the heat to low. Add Boursin cheese, stirring until it melts and incorporates fully into the sauce.
- Taste the sauce and add kosher salt and fresh pepper as needed.
- Add the drained pasta to the sauce and toss everything to combine.
- Top with fresh parsley for garnish before serving.
Notes
- Use reserved pasta water to thin the sauce if it becomes too thick.
