Ingredients

- 12 oz bowtie or penne pasta (gluten free, if needed)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 pre-cooked chicken sausages, sliced
- 2–3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1.5 cups frozen peas
- 1 (25 oz) jar marinara sauce
- 0.5 cup milk of choice
- 0.25 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 0.5–1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 0.33–0.5 cup parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
- 3 basil leaves, finely chopped
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add sliced chicken sausages and cook until lightly browned.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Stir in frozen peas and cook for 2 minutes.
- Pour in marinara sauce, milk, and heavy cream. Mix well.
- Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
- Simmer for 5 minutes, then stir in cooked pasta.
- Add parmesan cheese and chopped basil. Toss to combine.
- Serve with extra parmesan if desired.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
- Reheat gently with a splash of milk to maintain creaminess.
