- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Combine the mashed bananas, sugar, egg, and melted butter in one bowl. Mix them well.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour and baking soda together. Stir this dry mixture into the banana mixture until the batter is just combined. Do not overmix.
- Stir in the salt. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and enjoy.
Notes
- This recipe is excellent for using up very ripe bananas.
- For a slightly different flavor, you can substitute half the white sugar with brown sugar.
