Description

Make these simple, savory sausage phyllo cups for a quick appetizer that is always a crowd-pleaser. They feature a rich sausage and cream cheese filling inside crispy phyllo shells.

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage (hot or mild)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (cubed)
  • 10 oz Rotel (diced tomatoes and green chilies)
  • 45 phyllo cups (frozen)
  • 2 tbsp chives (diced, optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350° F. Line a baking sheet with the 45 phyllo cups and set it aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown and crumble the breakfast sausage until no pink remains.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and add the cubed cream cheese, stirring until the cream cheese is fully melted.
  4. Drain excess liquid from the Rotel and add it to the creamy sausage mix, stirring to combine well.
