Description
Moist red velvet cupcakes with creamy filling, topped with frosting and dripping berry “blood.” Perfect for Halloween fun.
Ingredients
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 ½ cups granulated sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 cup buttermilk
2 tsp red food coloring
1 cup cream cheese frosting
½ cup raspberry jam
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin.
Mix flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt.
Beat sugar, oil, and eggs until smooth.
Add dry mix alternately with buttermilk.
Stir in red coloring, fill liners ⅔ full.
Bake 18–20 min; cool completely.
Core and fill with frosting.
Frost tops and drizzle with jam “blood

- Don’t overbake—check at 18 min.
- Use beet powder for a natural red color.
- Chill before serving for neat drips.
