- 1 ball pizza dough homemade or store-bought
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 25 pepperoni I used turkey pepperoni
- 1/3 cup pizza sauce homemade or store-bought, cut into heart shapes
- mozzarella cheese Shredded, measured with the heart!
- parmesan cheese Measured with the heart!
- basil chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450F and allow your pizza stone to warm up in the oven. If you do not have a pizza stone, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
- Spread your pizza dough into a heart shape on well-floured parchment paper. If you are using a pizza stone, build your pizza directly on the stone.
- Gently transfer the pizza to a baking sheet or large cookie sheet if necessary, and adjust the heart shape if needed.
- Spread the tomato sauce on the dough, then add the cheese, then the heart-shaped pepperoni.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes. Check for doneness around the 10-minute mark.
- Top the pizza with the chopped basil, slice it, and serve.
Notes
- For the sauce, use a small heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut your sauce into heart shapes before spreading it on the dough for extra visual appeal.
