  • 1 cup mini peanut butter cups, chopped
  • 1/4 cup crushed peanuts
  • 1/2 cup chocolate ganache (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Slowly mix in the boiling water until you have a smooth batter.
  4. Pour the batter evenly into three cake pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Let the cakes cool completely on wire racks.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat together the peanut butter, softened butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream until the mixture is smooth and fluffy. This is your frosting.
  6. When the cakes are cool, stack them, spreading frosting between each layer. Frost the top and sides with the remaining frosting.
