Description
Make these quick, cheesy, and flaky Parmesan twists using store-bought puff pastry for an effortless appetizer perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese (grated)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons herbs de Provence
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- Heat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, unfold the thawed puff pastry sheet. Roll the pastry to 1/8 inch thickness using a flour-dusted rolling pin.
- Brush the rolled puff pastry with egg wash (lightly beaten egg mixed with 1 tablespoon water).
- Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese and herbs de Provence evenly over the pastry.
- Gently roll over the top of the pastry with the rolling pin to press the toppings into the dough.
- Cut the pastry crosswise into 8-10 strips, about 1/2 inch thick. Hold the ends of each strip and twist them.
- Brush the twists again with egg wash and sprinkle with sea salt. Place them carefully on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the twists are lightly golden.
