Soft, chewy Rice Krispie treats loaded with colorful sprinkles—an easy, no-bake dessert perfect for parties, bake sales, or family fun.
Ingredients
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
1 (10 oz) bag of mini marshmallows
3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup colorful sprinkles
Instructions
In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
Add the marshmallows and stir continuously until melted and smooth.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Pour in the Rice Krispies cereal and mix until well coated.
Fold in the colorful sprinkles, being careful not to overmix.
Transfer mixture to a greased 9×9-inch pan. Press down lightly to set.
Let cool for about 30 minutes, then cut into squares.
Notes
- Use fresh marshmallows for the softest, chewiest results.
- Don’t press too firmly into the pan, or the bars will be too dense.
- Butter or oil your spatula to keep the mixture from sticking.
