  • Author: Emma
  • Total Time: 50 min
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

A festive, layered dessert combining rich brownies with creamy vanilla pudding and whipped topping, perfect for your St. Patrick’s Day celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box Brownie Mix plus ingredients listed on box for 8x8 pan
  • 3.5 oz Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix (large box recommended for full trifle)
  • 8 oz Cool Whip
  • Green Food Coloring
  • Mint Oreo’s, crushed

Instructions

  1. Prepare brownies following the mix directions. Let them cool completely.
  2. Prepare the pudding according to the package directions. Add a few drops of green food coloring to the pudding until you reach your desired shade of green.
  3. Place several Oreo cookies in a sealable plastic bag. Seal the bag and crush the cookies until they are crushed.
  4. Assemble the trifle by layering the ingredients: place cut-up brownies, then a layer of green pudding, a layer of Cool Whip, another layer of cut-up brownies, another layer of pudding, and top with the crushed Oreo cookies.
  5. Refrigerate the trifle until you are ready to serve it.

Notes

  • You can make these trifles up to one day before serving.
  • Store any leftovers in the refrigerator; they keep well for up to 3 days.
  • For a different flavor without food coloring, substitute pistachio pudding for the vanilla pudding and coloring.
  • You can assemble this dessert in individual mini trifle dishes or one large trifle bowl.
