Description

Make this bright, floral, and refreshing iced tea featuring tart hibiscus and sweet strawberries. It is a beautiful non-alcoholic drink perfect for gatherings or warm days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 cups purified water
  • 1 cup hibiscus flower or 8 hibiscus tea bags
  • 1 cup erythritol OR organic sugar OR stevia equivalent OR 3/4 cup honey, or any mix thereof
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries, about, a bit more is fine

Instructions

  1. Bring the water, hibiscus flowers, and preferred sweetener to a boil, and immediately turn off the heat. Cover and let steep for 10 minutes.
  2. Stir the mixture a bit to dissolve any granulated sugar, and strain half into a blender (removing the hibiscus flowers). Puree in two batches due to the volume.
  3. Using half the strawberries and lime juice, puree until smooth, and pour into a pitcher.
  4. Continue with the remaining tea, lime, and strawberries. Once pureed, mix with the other portion in the pitcher.
  5. Taste, and add additional sweetener if necessary. Serve ice cold, stirring or shaking before pouring.
