Spooky Zombie Graveyard Brownies made with a fudgy brownie base, cookie tombstones, Oreo dirt, and candy bones. A fun, festive Halloween dessert kids and adults will love!
Ingredients
Brownie Base
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
Decorations
Crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (Oreos) – for “dirt”
Oval or rectangular cookies (Milano, graham crackers) – for tombstones
Black icing or melted chocolate – to write “RIP”
Candy bones or skeleton sprinkles
Gummy zombie hands or gummy worms
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
Whisk melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Gently fold into the wet mixture.
Spread batter evenly in the pan. Bake for 25–30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
Cool completely, then cut into squares (or leave as one large sheet).
Sprinkle crushed cookies on top to create “dirt.”
Add tombstone cookies, candy bones, and gummy zombie hands for decoration.
